DHEW Reasi hosts Mega awareness camp on women centric schemes

District Hub for Empowerment of Women Reasi, in collaboration with One Stop Centre and Childline Team today organised an awareness programme at Panchayat Lamsora under Mission Shakti. The programme was attended by Sarpanch  Rekha Devi, Panches and a large number of members of women Self Help Groups. 

The DHEW Team imparted awareness among women regarding women centric schemes with special focus on ISSS, Restructured Marriage Assistance Scheme, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, BBBP, Skill Development Programmes, PMEGP, Tejaswini and schemes implemented by Women Development Corporation aimed at to make women self reliant.

The OSC staff also explained about the working of One Stop Centre and the services provided by it to the victims of domestic violence. Coordinator Childline Reasi imparted awareness regarding Childline and the services rendered by it through its Toll Free number 1098.

Pamphlets regarding women centric schemes were also distributed among the participants. At the end of the programme, the grievances of the people were also noted and they were assured to provide assistance with the help of Concerned department.
