Good Governance Week : Team of officers inspect Educational Institutions, take stock of services being provided by different Deptts

As a part of the Good Governance Week, a team of officers comprising District Information Officer, Reasi, Rajinder Kumar Digra & BDO,  Naresh Kumar  Sharma, today inspected different educational institutions including GGHSS Reasi, GBHSS Reasi and Kambal Danga School.

They also interacted with the public and took stock of the services being provided to them by different departments under the weeklong celebrations of the Good Governance Week. 

While highlighting the Grievance Redressal Mechanism, they said that the launch of JKIGRAMS has brought accountability, transparency and access of the public to the highest level in the Government for seeking timely redressal of the grievances.  

They also interacted with students and advised them to stay away from drugs and focus on future plans and career opportunities to excel in academics and sports. While interacting with the public, the DIO & BDO highlighted the objective of the Good Governance Week. 

They said that the main objective behind the celebration of Good governance week was to promote Citizen-Centric governance and improve public service delivery along with redressal of public grievances.They added that the Government was striving hard to expand the outreach of service delivery mechanisms, making them more effective. 

Highlighting various Government schemes and programs, they said that efforts were being synergised on the part of different departments for achieving cent percent saturation of the Government schemes and effective delivery of Government services at the doorsteps of the general public.

They also said that several Government schemes/services can be availed through online mode which is another step towards transparency and accountability. All the Head of Institutions were also present there.

During Good Governance Week, other activities included transplanting of Onion Seedling and Sugarcane Cultivation by CAO Reasi Rakesh Kumar at Panchayat Sool and 8700 bags of Button Mushroom and 6000 Bags of Dhingri Spawn laid out. 

Pit Reffing for raising Mother Block of Elite cultivars of Apple at Govt Fruit Plant Nursery Tuli conducted by Horticulture Department Reasi. General public appreciated the Good Governance Week initiative of the Government and appealed for continuing such programs in near future.
