After the news of Ranjit Bawa, now it has been made to the limelight that NIA raids at Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal’s house. If reports are to be believed, then the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently conducting raids on singer Kanwar Grewal’s apartment in Mohali Sector-104.
According to NIA sources, the raids were a part of the agency's inquiries into alleged connections between performers and gangsters. Grewal's residence and the housing society are both under the protection of the CRPF. Until further orders, residents have been instructed to remain indoors.

According to sources, the details have been out that the artists were questioned about gangster meddling in the Punjabi music industry, their claimed connections to some performers, and threats made against them. One of the leading Punjabi singers in the farm agitation was Kanwar Grewal. Several other Punjabi performers, including female vocalists, had previously been questioned by IT.
Moreover, earlier in August, YouTube had removed his song "Rihaee," which demanded the liberation of Sikh prisoners. Other than this, the singer has also dropped many other songs which grabbed a lot of eyeballs and became a part of controversy. Now, the update regarding the raid is still awaited.
