Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Nazim Zai Khan, on Thursday visited Bandipora to take stock of development scenario of Surindar Panchayat. He was Prabhari Officer for Surinder Panchayat.

Secretary reviewed progress on various development works and programmes launched for welfare and development of  public including distribution of land passbooks, status of PM kissan and other ongoing development works.

Secretary stressed on timely completion of ongoing projects by further expediting the pace of works with 100% expenditure. Nazim Zai also took stock of progress on directions issued during fourth phase of 'Back to Village' program. 

Secretary visited various spots and inspected ongoing work on footbridge, rural haat and other works. During his visit, Secretary also held an interactive session with general public in which people raised various issues of public importance.

Secretary issued on spot directions for redressal of public issues. The general public expressed happiness and satisfaction for the officers visit to the panchayat and thanked administration for listening to public at their doorsteps.

ADC Bandipora, Waseem Raja and district officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
