The District Administration Kupwara today conducted a second training programme for Presiding and Polling Officers for Re-poll of DDC Constituency Drugmulla in Kupwara district. The Dy. District Election Officer Kupwara presided over the training programme. 

The Returning Officer for DDC Constituency Drugmulla, ARO, various Nodal Officers and DIO Kupwara were present on the occasion. The Master Trainers imparted the necessary training related to smooth conduct of election process at the occasion.

The Dy. DEO said that the training was imparted to 163 Officers including 42 Presiding Officers, 84 Polling Officers and reserved quota to acquaint them with the rules and regulations of the election process and implementation of Model Code of Conduct. 

He stressed upon them to work in coordination to get best results for smooth conduct of the election. On the occasion, the Master Trainers provided detailed awareness and guidelines to the Presiding and Polling officers with regard to their duties and responsibilities during the election process.  

It was informed on the occasion that the polling shall be held on 5th of December in the DDC constituency Drugmulla from 7 AM to 2 PM. There shall be 42 polling stations for which sufficient staff including one Returning Officer, one ARO, 42 Presiding Officers, 84 Polling Officers, 2 Zonal Magistrates and 7 Sectoral Magistrates has been detailed for duties. 

The DDC constituency Drugmulla comprises CD block Drugmulla and partly Kupwara and partly Qadirabad. The total electorate of the constituency is 32743.
