A mega Job fair was organised by District Employment and Counselling Centre Reasi in the office complex here today. Different line departments  participated in the job fair  and  showcase the schemes regarding employment generation run by them.

During the job fair, Assistant Commissioner Reasi , lead Bank Manager, Representatives of Reserve Bank of India,  State Bank of India and other officers of line departments attended the job fair and  interacted with the unemployed youth. 

They stressed on self employment endeavours so that they would become job givers instead of job seekers. They were overwhelmed with the enthusiasm of participating youth and the smooth conduct of proceedings despite huge rush.

Assistant Director employment emphasized upon the online registration of unemployed youth on department’s portal so that they could get real time information in future regarding employment avenues. On the occasion, six reputed Companies participated in the Job fair viz Naryana Super Specialty Hospital Kakryal Katra, ICICI Bank, Indusland Bank, Fair deal auto mobile  and LIC Reasi.

More than 300 candidates participated in the Job fair. Around 77 candidates were short listed by these companies. They were made aware regarding different self employment schemes by different line departments and integration of Employment portal with National Career Services.The selected candidates will be called by the employers soon for joining the service.
