The District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal in collaboration with Karwan-e- Adab Dab today organised literary event at Sadat Delhi Educational institute Wakura Ganderbal. Mehfil Mushaira was the most important part of this literary event which was witnessed by locals, students, Teachers of the school and Media fraternity who enjoyed the event.
The event was presided over by Sahitya Akademi award winning writer, Majeed Majazi along with Salim Yusuf and Muhammad Yasin Qadri. The event was started with the recitation of Quran. After that, Syed Akhtar Hussain Mansoor, President of Karwan-e-Adab Literature, warmly welcomed the guests, after which the mushaira started.
Mehfil Mushaira was supervised by Showkat Shahbaz who expressed gratitude to the District Information Centre Ganderbal for inviting poets for the Mushaira. Among the poets who recited their poetry include Syed Manzoor Shadab, Mohi-Ud-Din Saghazi, Gulfam Nowgami, Wasim Kazim, Asadullah, Afzal Syed, Syed Rizwan Imtiyaz Anjum, Syed Muhammad Madani, Mehtab Manzoor, Bashir Ajasi, Hameed Ashfaq, Ghulam Hussain Haqnawaz, Sabik Ali Sabik and various other poets of the district participated in the mushaira which enthralled the audience.
