District Health Society reviews patient care scenario in Rajouri

District Health Society Rajouri today reviewed the performance of the Health Sector in the district for the financial year 2022-23 here at its meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal.

Reviewing the progress achieved under the National Health Mission, the meeting was informed that 593032 patients visited OPDs, 48691 were provided treatment in IPDs, while 4085 major and 42914 minor surgeries were performed as on date.

It was further informed that the district recorded 7472 institutional deliveries and conducted 37726 X-Rays, while the District Medical Board issued 6881 disability certificates in the current financial year.The DDC stressed on educating the masses about the benefits of institutional deliveries over home deliveries.

Discussing Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), the meeting was apprised that the program aims to improve the overall quality of life of children by providing them comprehensive care to enable them to achieve their full potential. 

The DDC asked the concerned officers to give wide publicity to the program and ensure coverage of maximum children under the program. Reviewing the work done under NCD, the meeting was informed that 37 percent people have been screened as on date, even as the DDC asked the BMOs to expedite the progress in this regard and achieve the targets at the earliest.

The implementation of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) was also reviewed and the DDC stressed on early detection and testing of the suspected patients to meet the basic objectives of the mission. 

Stress was laid on carrying out registration of maximum TB Patients under Ni-kshay Mitras scheme which aims to ensure three-pronged support to the TB patients including Nutritional, Additional diagnostic and Vocational support.

The DDC, while reviewing the activities being carried out under Anaemia Mukt Bharat program, asked the concerned officers to generate mass awareness among the public about the causes of anaemia and put in dedicated efforts to yield fruitful results on the ground.

The DDC also reviewed the progress on registration under the SEHAT scheme and asked for universal coverage to enable maximum people to avail the health benefits under the scheme. He also directed the concerned officers to take effective measures to ensure that quality health services are provided to the patients in the health institutions.
