Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam today inaugurated Hamdard Ramban T-20 Cricket Premier League Season-2 tournament at District Police Line Grounds, Ramban.The tournament was organized by an NGO, Team Hamdard locally known for Blood donation and other social works.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the tournament is being organized after about 1 year at DPL, saying that it will give a new boost to the sports activities and provide the youth a chance to hone their skills.
He said exposure to sports activities gives a reason to abstain from drugs and other anti-social activities.Reiterating the government’s resolve to promote sports culture, he informed that a number of projects are in progress to strengthen sports infrastructure in the district.
He said that with the completion of the Indoor Stadium at Phalti encouraged many sports enthusiasts to pursue a career in games.
