V. K. Nayak, Ex. Major General and Ex. Senior Consultant National Disaster Management Authority today visited SDRF Complex Srinagar to monitor the ongoing training of Volunteers in connection with “Up-Scaling of Aapda Mitra Scheme” and SDRF activities to respond to  any eventuality of natural or human induced disasters.

During the visit, Nayak took stock of arrangements of indoor activities and accommodation /catering facilities at Hotel Royal Park Nowgam Byepass Srinagar and held an interaction with SDRF Instructors at SDRF complex Srinagar.

Besides, he also shared his expertise with regard to responding to various types of Disasters with the trainees.Naik appreciated the role of SDRF with regard to imparting training to Aapda Mitra Volunteers and various time to time rescue operations conducted by SDRF 1st Bn. Kashmir under the supervision and endeavour of Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, Commandant SDRF 1st Bn. Kashmir.
