Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today convened a meeting with District officers, elected members of MCs, representatives of Beopar mandal and Chamber of Commerce to review the public delivery mechanism in the towns here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

During the meeting, the DC had an elaborate meeting with members  of Municipal Council Udhampur and Municipal Committees of Ramnagar and Chenani. The  president MC Udhampur Dr Jogeshwar Gupta, President MC Chenani, Manik Gupta, President MC,  Ramnagar Banti Devi highlighted the demands of their respective towns and demanded establishment of Slaughterhouse, meeting shortage of drinking water supply in Udhampur town, Shifting of meat market, Construction of play field/ Mini stadium, Conducting safety audit of all bridges of Udhampur town, Installation of air quality meters, addressing the problem of Traffic Congestion, Construction of Bus stand and Transport nagar, Operationlization of modern slaughter house etc.

After giving patient hearing to the problems and demands of the ULB members of Udhampur town, the DC assured for early mitigation of the genuine problems of the Public of Udhampur town. The PHE department was directed to conduct field visits with the help of ULB members and identify the water leakage points in the Udhampur town.

The PWD and UEED were directed to conduct joint visits and fill potholes at an earliest. The DC also stressed upon evolving co-ordination with all the stakeholders viz. elected public representatives of ULBS for making the program successful.

Additional Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral; Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other district Officers   besides  ULB members  and Representatives of Beopar mandal and Chamber of Commerce attended  the meeting.
