District Administration Ramban today organized Weekly Block Diwas meetings under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam in all identified blocks across the district.During the meetings, senior officers of the District Administration listened to the issues and grievances of the public and resolved most of them on- the -spot.
Highlighting the achievements and services available on online mode, the officers asked the PRIs to sensitize the people about the different beneficiary and job-oriented schemes launched by the Government for the welfare of youth, poor and deprived sections of society.
The officers and PRIs focused on the implementation of the Area Development Plan, 2022-23 and advised the Sarpanches and Panches to monitor the execution of work sanctioned under different schemes. The PRIs were also sensitized about the Water Supply Schemes sanctioned and taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission in their respective areas.
The Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Ramban Samrinder Singh also sensitized the participants about the fare of passenger vehicles, besides highlighting the different features of the Motor Vehicle Act and road safety measures that need to apply on road to safeguard precious human lives.
The BDO Ramban, Muneer Hussain also briefed the PRIs about progress on developmental works taken up under ADF and other schemes in block Ramban.Similar Block Diwas Meetings were also held at Batote.
The officers highlighted the steps taken by the District Administration to provide basic facilities and quality services under different sectors. They also informed me about the pace of progress on various developmental projects being executed under various sectors.
The officers resolved most of the demands on-the-spot and assured the people that their genuine demands shall also be looked into and redressed on priority. Participating in the Block Dias, the officers of lines departments also sensitized the PRIs and people about the schemes and services of their respective departments launched for their welfare and development.
