DLSA celebrated National Education Day at Bandipora

As per Plan of Action and Calendar of Activities for the month of November, 2022, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Committee and in collaboration with the Education Department Bandipora today celebrated National Education Day at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Dawar, Gurez.

The day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Education Minister of Independent India, Abul Kalam Azad.The programme was inaugurated by Mohammad Younis Lone Principal, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Dawar. 

In his inaugural address, he delivered a speech on the importance of this day and the contribution of Abul Kalam Azad and his significant work in the field of Indian Education System.In the event, the speakers deliberated on the Vision of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and his Relevance to Global Knowledge Power. 

They also emphasized upon sustainable development, the spirit of enquiry, creativity, moral leadership, National Educational Policy, commitment towards teaching and the importance of teacher educators.In the course of the event, it was also stressed upon all to show responsibility as teachers, as scholars and as participants working in the field of education to take this vision ahead.

Speakers explained the significant points in National Education Policy and how today’s education achievements are the contribution of the great leaders of our nation. It was also mentioned that institutions of education cannot be created without the proper vision, commitment, values, and ethics.

A similar programme was celebrated at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Quilmuqam Bandipora. In the said programmes Teachers, PLVs, students and other society members participated.
