To provide benefits of various public welfare schemes on the spot and to solve the prolonged issues of villages, Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is organising 'Jan Suwidha Camps' in rural areas.
Under this campaign, a camp was organized in Village Malikpur of the district Rupnagar. Overwhelming response from the people today witnessed at this camp. People of Malikpur, Ahmadpur and Khuwaspura were sensitised about various schems of Punjab Government.
Giving further details, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav said that grievances of the people were heard and registered during the camp and further action was initiated to resolve the grievances.
Along with this, necessary action was also taken to provide benefits of various public welfare schemes. People appreciated this initiative of Punjab Government.Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav said that the issues of the villages would be resolved by reaching the villages at grass root level.
This camp is a step in this direction and people have got a big relief by setting up this camp. Such camps will be organized continuously, so that people's work can be done in stipulated time.
On this occasion, She also appreciated the efforts being made by the Gram Panchayat for the cleanliness and beautification of the village Malikpur.Deputy Commissioner also apprised the people about the schemes of various departments.
Speaking on this occasion, Sarpanch Village Malikpur Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur drew the attention of the district administration towards the problem of the pond. Deputy Commissioner assured a timely solution. On this occasion, a demand was also made by the people to provide employment for more than 100 days under MGNREGA.
Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the various works done by the Panchayat such as Gym, Veterinary Dispensary & Anganwadi Centre.
