Career Counseling and Placement Cell Government Degree College Kishtwar today organised a seminar on UPSC Civil Service (IAS,IPS,IRS and allied services) Strategies and Preparation, in the Conference Hall of the College. Around 200 IAS aspirants of different semesters participated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
Top faculty of Drishti IAS Academy ,New Delhi, Rohit Wazir was invited as a special guest to inform the aspirants about the scheme of UPSC Civil Service examination, strategies to be adopted and steps taken for best answer writing skills.
Rohit Wazir underlined the importance of newspaper reading, vocabulary and explained in detail the Mains examination pattern.The College Principal (incharge), Prof Umar Din Rather, also graced the occasion along with other faculty members.
Question answer session was also held in which aspirants clarified their doubts about the examination and different levels of preparations. It is pertinent to mention here that Career Counseling and Placement Cell of GDC Kishtwar was going to organise regular coaching classes for UPSC examination in near future, besides various skill development programmes will be conducted for the students by signing MOUs with different Govt. departments.
