Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand visited the government institutions, such as educational, agricultural, and health facilities, of various Panchayats after receiving complaints from PRI Members of various Panchayats regarding the absence of various employees during working hours.

During the visit, he observed that several government employees were working with all of their zeal and ability and Chairperson DDC Udhampur appreciated all such employees. However, it has also been discovered by him that government workers at several institutions are absent without permission, and that some offices are shut during office hours while they should be open.

Chairperson DDC Udhampur then called a meeting of Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Agricultural Officer Udhampur.During the course of meeting, he instructed them to seek an explanation from erring employees and asked them to take harsh action against those erring employees who are not doing their duties efficiently and effectively. 

Additionally, he instructed them to direct all the Officers/ Officials/Teachers/Field staff to work with zeal and dedication for the betterment of general public at large.
