Anil Thakur on Friday assumed charge as Chairman, Punjab Traders Board in the presence of Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, and Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjer.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister expressed confidence that Anil Thakur would act as a bridge between the government and traders for the effective implementation of pro-traders policies. Congratulating Thakur, Finance Minister extended his every support in the implementation of various government schemes to ensure the welfare of the traders.
Anil Thakur, while thanking Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and senior leadership for showing faith in him, said that he would fulfill to the best of his abilities and responsibilities assigned to him. Pertinently, Bathinda-based Anil Thakur is also state president of Trade and Industry wing of AAP, General Secretary of Punjab Hotel Association, and General Secretary of Punjab Rajput Mahasabha.
