A Special Lok-Adalat was today organized in District Court Anantnag and other sub-ordinate courts of the district under the Chairmanship of Naseer Ahmad Dar, Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Anantnag. 

By the concerted efforts of presiding officers of all the courts, cooperation rendered by the learned advocates and officers of various government departments, insurance companies and banking institutions.A total number of 1057 cases were taken up by 07 benches in the district out of which 938 cases (Pre and Post- Litigation) were settled on the spot.An amount of Rs. 42,64,370 was the settlement amount including award of Rs. 6.65 lacs in one MACT Case.
