District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) today organised a one-day Job Fair / Rozgar mela in coordination with District Administration Kishtwar for the Job seekers from the District & students at Govt ITI.
The fair was organised under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme SANKALP. More than 300 youth and 10 Employers participated in the fair.About 155 applications/CVs were received by 10 Employers for 122 available vacancies.
Besides, 10 applications were also received under different Govt. Self Employment Schemes by the respective Departments.The programme started with the welcome address by AD Employment, Amit Kumar, followed by the Chief Guest’s address.
Joint Director Employment, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik, briefed the participants about the opportunities available for the youth and encouraged them to go for Self Employment Ventures.Besides, Officers/ officials /Representatives from Agriculture, Horticulture, JKEDI, JKWDC, JKBank, LIC, Animal Husbandry, SC, ST, OBC Corporation and Pvt.
Employers talked about their schemes and other opportunities available for youth of the district.The programme also facilitated on-spot registration of job seekers & students.The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by Employment Officer DECC Kishtwar.
