Chairperson, District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand, today kick-started the work on Jal Jeevan Mission scheme here at village Dhanori. Chairperson Block Development Council Udhampur Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Dhanori Anu Radha, PRI Members, Officers of Jal Shakti Department and locals of the area were also present.
The said Jal Jeevan Mission project will be executed at a cost of Rs. 9.83 crore. “On the completion of the project, every household in the vicinity will get clean tap water thus ending the problem of the dearth of potable water in the area” he said.
The Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur called upon the officers of Jal Shakti Department to ensure that all the sanctioned projects are started and completed within the stipulated time frame thereby facilitating provision of tap water to each house and habitation.
On the sideline of the tour, the Chairperson also listened to the public grievances of Panchayat Dhanori and assured them of timely redressal.
