A blood donation camp was organized at Lal Ded Hospital on the occasion of ‘World Blood Donors Day’. This years’ theme was “Safe Blood for Saving Mothers”.The pisional Commissioner, Kashmir Mr Shailnder Kumar was the chief guest and inaugurated the camp. He also donated blood on the occasion.Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Principal, GMC, Project Director, SAP&CS, Medical Superintendent, Lal Ded Hospital, Head Department of Gyneacology and other senior doctors of the hospital were also present on the occasion.
pisional Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, said that people donate money and other things but they have to donate blood which can save human lives. He appreciated those volunteers, police personnel, who donated blood and asked them to keep up this spirits alive for serving the humanity.The Deputy Commissioner while expressing his views said that man has been created for the help of others and underlined the need for organizing more such camps for the benefit of needy patients. Other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the importance of blood donation and asked people to come forward for this noble cause.Later, Medical Superintendent presented vote of thanks.
