Rashtriya Rifles, Indian Army, in collaboration with Department of Tourism, Jammu organised a grand cultural  function on  concluding day of the 4th edition of the Banihal Youth Festival 2022 in Lamber ground, Banihal, Ramban district.

Maj Gen, Ajay Kumar, GOC, CIF (D) was the Chief Guest on the occasion where he was welcomed by the local girl students in a traditional way. The festival was themed at promoting the girl child for a prosperous future and showcasing talent of the youth.

The event started with performances of popular singers and folk dancers including well-known model-cum-actress Hunyla Khan, followed by Malkhamb display by the Indian Army, Song by  Abid Ali and Dogri, Geetru & Punjabi cultural shows. 

The event also witnessed mesmerizing performance by little school children adding flavour of blissfulness of childhood.The event was also attended by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, Zaheer Abbas Bhat and officers of Civil Administration, Security Forces, School authorities, students, opinion makers, locals and the entire media team of Ramban district.

The day concluded with the flag-in of the PPR Trekkers who acted as motivators and ignited young minds for undertaking difficult challenges and making the most from this beautiful town.During the felicitation ceremony, all the Trekkers were felicitated by the Chief Guest along with the winners of the inter-school competitions conducted over the past three days. 

The event observed wholehearted participation by teams from 10 local schools. The fervour and gaiety of youths and locals who cheered the participants added to the energy of participants. The day was put to rest for the huge crowd of 800 strong with energy and happiness on the faces of the local populace.
