Department of Computer Science Engineering, CEC, CGC Landran organised ‘Zest-o-Fiesta’ its annual techno-cultural festival which saw enthusiastic participation from CGC students pursuing Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, IT engineering, Mechanical engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, BBA, MBA among others.
In addition to providing students an effective platform to hone and showcase their technical aptitude, the event gave them an opportunity to channelize their creative potential as well.The fest had three categories namely technical, non-technical and cultural which gave participants a wide scope to showcase their talents.
The technical category had competitions namely Bug-Debug, LAN gaming, Blind coding, InQuest, Logo Designing, Technical Quiz and Coding Relay. The non-technical segment included Painting Relay, Open Mic, AD-Mad, Reel making among others.
The cultural category had students participate in Dancing (Classical, Folk & Western), Singing (Classical & Western), Stand up Comedy and fashion show.In the technical category, while the Bug Debug competition, required the participants to debug an error (termed as a bug) in a programme in a given timeframe, LAN gaming saw the players pitted against multiple others vying to be the winner.
Blind coding saw competitors coding to crack a problem statement given to them. The subject for Logo designing competition ‘Dare to be Different’ had students making exquisite and thoughtfully designed creative logos using the latest software.
Arunima won the Bug-Debug competition, Abhishek Sharma was adjudged the winner in LAN gaming, Vivek won the Blind coding competition, Eshan Rathor was the top winner of Logo Designing, Sunny won the top spot in Technical Quiz and Tushar Bhatt was adjudged the winner of Coding Relay competition while Aditya Raj and Devansh were declared joint winners of in Quest competition. The winners were felicitated with certificates, trophies and gift vouchers.
