Zonal Youth Festival of the Guru Nanak Dev University for Education colleges concluded in Dasmesh Auditorium of the University. Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar bagged the first position, Khalsa College of Education, G.T. Road, Amritsar secured the second position and Govt. College of Education, Jalandhar was adjudged the third best team.

Prof. Dr. Anish Dua, Dean Students Welfare,  Guru Nanak Dev University gave the trophies to winning teams. In his address to the students Dr Dua congratulated all participating teams and appealed to all that we need to ensure that each student in these institutes of higher education remains enthusiastic, has positive outlook and shared their strength with fellow students so that we can build healthy surroundings all around us. 

This is also the objective of all such cultural events and it helps us in channelising our strengths in meaningful direction, he said.

A big team of student volunteers, and teacher-mentors from the University campus are driving these festivals forward and have the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Dr Jaspal S. Sandhu. Competition for theatre events, fine arts and literary events were held on the concluding day
