NSS Unit of the Government Degree College, Ukhral today organized a cleanliness drive on the college campus under the flagship Clean India 2.0 Campaign of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The programme was organized with the aim to sensitize the students and masses regarding the Clean India 2.0 Campaign as a social and environmental duty. A large number of NSS Volunteers participated in this Cleanliness Campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the College, Dr Ashok Kumar in his message exhorted the students to act as “Good Will Ambassadors” for the Clean India Campaign and to make the common people aware of the importance of Cleanliness and hygiene and make this campaign as people’s movement through Jan Bhagidari.The whole programme was coordinated by the Programme Officer of the College, NSS Prof. Zakir Hussain.
