To commemorate the relevance of Gandhian thoughts and vision on the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, a series of activities were organised in collaboration with NSS ( Unit 1) and 2J&K Girls Bn NCC of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. PG College for Women Gandhinagar Jammu from 21st September to 2nd October, 2022.

 The celebrations started with cleanliness drive followed by Slogan writing Competition , Poster-making Competition, Quiz Competition, Symposium, Plantation drive , Awareness Rally, Essay writing, Pledge  on Non-violence and concluded with Floral tributes to the Father of Nation.

A total of 63 NSS Volunteers and Cadets of 2J&K Girls Bn paid reverence to Bapu ji on 2nd October,2022.The celebrations started with a soulful Bhajan' Raghupati Raghav Rajaram' presented by the students of the Music Department.

Prof. Rahul from the Music Department mesmerized the audience with his soothing Bhajan. Ishani Jandiyal , the NSS Volunteer recited a poem on this occasion. Prof. Sujata Slathia, the officiating Principal of the College congratulated the students and staff on this day and deliberated upon the importance of Gandhi Ji's teachings and how we can inculcate them in our daily lives.The programme concluded with Pledge on Non-violence and National Anthem.
