State Vigilance Bureau during its ongoing drive against rampant corruption nabbed a Patwari red handed accepting bribe of Rs. 8 thousand for doing inteqal of a farmer’s agriculture land.Disclosing this here today, Official Spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the Vigilance Bureau has caught Om Parkash Patwar for demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant of Partap Singh of village Village Malowal district Tarn Taran. Spokesperson said that complainant Mr. Partap Singh approached the Vigilance that he has bought an agriculture land in village Malowal Santa and Patwari Om Parkash was demanding a bribe of Rs. 8 thousand from him for doing inteqal.
Spokesperson said that team led by Mr. Manjit Singh Bhangu, DSP Vigilance Bureau, Tarn Taran laid a trap and the accused was nabbed red handed taking bribe from farmer Partap Singh in the presence of a shadow witness and two government officials as witnesses. The tainted money was recovered from him. In this regard a case has been registered under FIR No. 6, dated June 12, 2014 u/s 7, 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 at Vigilance Bureau Police Station, Vigilance Bureau, Range Amritsar.
