Continuing its endeavour to provide better sports platform to budding sports talent of the District to prepare them for competing in national and international events, the District Administration Srinagar, on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, a District level competitions in Archery for all age group Boys started at Youth Hostel Srinagar here today.

The championship was inaugurated by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar, Balbir Singh.During the Championship, under 14, 17 & 19 years Boys will compete in their respective age groups and more than 50 participants will compete for 3-day event in their respective age groups for District Level Title.

Meanwhile, Rifle shooting basic training course for Boys also started at Indoor Shooting Hall Youth Hostel Srinagar.Earlier, before the commencement of the routine event, an anti-drug abuse pledge was administered to all the participants under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Mission WAAPSI.
