Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is going to organise District Level Yuva Utsav on 4th October, 2022 at “Riwaayat Banquet”, Udhampur. The theme of the event is “Take Pride in our Heritage & Legacy.”
Talking to the media persons here at a press conference, District Youth Officer, Khushal Gupta briefed about the objectives of the programme. He said that in the one day programme, six different events/competitions will be organised.
Youth will participate in Young Writers Contest – Poem, Young Artists' Camp – Painting, Mobile Photography Contest, Declamation Contest, Cultural Fest – Group event and Yuva Samvaad. He added that the objective of the programme is to provide a platform to the talented youth of the district.
District Information Officer, Rajinder Kumar Digra urged the youth for maximum participation in these events. He said that the youth, especially of rural areas, must come forward and showcase their talent at platforms set by the Government of JKUT. Winners from each event would compete at State Level followed by the National Level event.
The interested candidates should get themselves enrolled by filling the Google form https://forms.gle/kKfeQhyE81L2zJCF6. Alternatively they may contact the NYK Office for participation. Cash rewards and participation Certificates for the best performers of each event will be distributed as well.
The DIO praised the media persons for making endeavour and for providing good coverage of govt initiatives as well as programmes even in the remotest corners of the district. The press conference ended with the vote of thanks by Souravdeep Singh (APA).
