A deputation of Punjab Namberdar Union led by its State President Gurpal Singh Samra today called on Punjab Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia to apprise him about their demands. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Majithia described Namberdar as an important link in the state revenue system and assured them every possible support from the department. He exhorted them to work with commitment and become an important source of dissemination of information regarding, revolutionary facilities being provided to the stake holders by Revenue Department. 

Earlier, the representatives of the Namberdar Union put forth their demands like preference to the son of Namberdar on the time of selection of a Namberdar, timely payment of monthly honorarium , representation in various district and sub pision level  committees and provision of a common sitting space in all tehsils and sub-tehsils. Other members of the deputation were Mohinder Singh Jahangir, Labh Singh, Ashok Sandhu, Jaswinder Singh Sarhali and Kimti Lal .

Mr.N.S.Kang Financial Commissioner Revenue and Mr. B.S.Sudan, Secretary Revenue was also present on the occasion.
