Assailing the Congress party for creating ruckus in the Punjab Assembly Session called to discuss significant issues related to the Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said that the Congress is clearly working as a 'B-team of the BJP' and is working hard to crucify democracy.

Addressing a press conference, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema along with Cabinet Ministers Inderbir Singh Nijjar and Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the Congress party has no issue to raise against the AAP government and that's why they created mayhem in the assembly session today even when the government gave them ample time to hold discussions on crucial issues  of Punjab.

He said that AAP has foiled the agenda of BJP to implement Operation Lotus in Punjab. But now Congress is working clandestinely with BJP to topple the government in the state, which is unfortunate and condemnable.

He said that during the Business Advisory Committee meeting today, it was decided that zero hour will be held on Monday and leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa gave his consent. But later they protested over this issue in the session.

In the past, many leaders used to sleep in the assembly demanding that the session should be extended, but when the Aam Aadmi Party government is now increasing the period of the session,  the Congress party is running away.

Cheema said that BJP has only two MLAs in the assembly but shockingly Congress also opposed this  session to allow AAP government to bring in a confidence motion against Operation Lotus.  Even though the Congress party is itself a  victim of Operation Lotus in many states including  recently in Goa, the MLAs still supported the BJP.

This has exposed the dubious agenda of Congress that they are also inclined to topple AAP government with BJP. They are running away from debates in the Punjab assembly. Earlier, BJP attempted to stop AAP government in Punjab through the Governor office and when it failed, Congress took the responsibility to deter progress of the government on the behalf of BJP, Cheema said adding that BJP is afraid of growing popularity of the AAP party in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections in the both states.

Lashing out at Congress, Cheema said that the Congress party has failed to protect democracy in the Parliament and now doing the same in Punjab. Congress MLAs are getting desperate to join the BJP. AAP is the only party fighting to save the democracy.

He said that the soldiers of CM Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann will not let them succeed in their dubious agendas and they will protect the Constitution of Dr BR Ambedkar till their last breath.
