Department of Computer Applications Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. P.G College for Women Gandhi Nagar, in collaboration with IQAC & NSS, on Tuesday organized a rally on “Cyber Security Awareness” under the aegis of Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Campaign.

The program was held under the patronage of the College Principal, Prof. Minu Mahajan, who inaugurated the rally in which about 97 NSS volunteers participated.The rally passed through all the departments of the college. The students raised slogans about cybercrime and cyber security awareness.

The rally was organised with the aim to spread awareness among youth about Cyber frauds  and safe use of   social media, online banking services as the rate of cyber-crimes are increasing day by day amid wide use of the Internet.The Department of Computer Applications distributed pamphlets about cyber security among the departments of the college during the rally.

Prof. Mala Bhasin, NSS Programme Officer, delivered the opening remarks in the rally. Prof. Rohit Gupta (Nodal Officer), Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Prof. Mamta Kundal, Prof. Rajinder Kumar and Prof. Poonam also took active part in the rally.
