Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, who is also the District Election Officer (DEO), today flagged off a Van designated as "SVEEP Express" to spread awareness among the masses in the district about Special Summary Revision (SSR)-2022.

Among others present on the occasion were ADDC  Sham Lal; ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma; Deputy DEO, Naresh Kumar; Nodal Officer SVEEP/ACP, Zakir Hussain Wani; ENTm Sajjad Akhter, besides other concerned staff of the election department.

The SVEEP Express was flagged off here from the DC Office Complex to intensify activities under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation program (SVEEP) on Special Summary Revision, 2022.

The DEO, while speaking on the occasion, said that SVEEP Express will go to every Panchayat, Patwar Halqa, Village, GDC and educational institutions across the district to disseminate information about SSR-2022 among the public, besides to share the details of BLOs, the schedule of Special Campaign dates and other IEC election material including electoral forms like 6, 6B, 7, 8 and give a demo for filling these forms.

The DEO urged the left out voters and those who have attained the age of 18 years as on October 1st 2022 to contact their BLOs or apply on www.nvsp.in to register as voters, besides take help from Voters' Helpline App for related information.

Pertinent to mention that Special summary revision 2022 is scheduled from 15th September to 25 October 2022, wherein special camps at all polling booths will be conducted by BLOs.Special Camps on 24th and 25th September 2022 had been conducted  across the district Kishtwar and enrollment of  left out voters as well as those who have turned 18 as on October 1st, 2022 was conducted. More special camps shall be conducted on scheduled dates viz 1st, 2nd, 15th and 16th October 2022 at all polling booths.

The rural development department has been directed by the DEO Kishtwar to coordinate with the PRIs to achieve the aim and objective of the SSR-2022.
