As a part of Public Outreach Programme of UT of JK Government, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today held a Public Outreach Camp under “Weekly Block Divas” at Panchayat Ghar of zero line border village Chachwal of Block Rajpura and listened to the demands and issues of Public representatives as well as locals.
The Deputy Commissioner called for synergised efforts from all officers to ensure 100% saturation of all government sponsored schemes for the border villages.Taking cognizance of the grievances recorded in the previous Block Diwas, the DC directed to ensure all the issues raised are addressed with inter convergence of line departments.
Among the issues raised during the program, the DC sought immediate action on finalizing compensation of land acquired by defence institutions, making newly constructed tubewell functional, providing compensation to border farmers, construction of BADP road, status of health infrastructure audit, functioning of Pani Samiti, RDD works and others.
The DC laid emphasis on expediting the online delivery by revenue department including issuing of caste certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards etc.She laid emphasis upon generating mass awareness on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and increased surveillance on the Border area to keep a check on suspected drug peddlers.
The DC informed that each Panchayat has been provided with feedback boxes for identification of drug addicts.The District Development Council member Asha Rani, Sarpanch Veena Devi, SDM Ramkesh, BDO Shivani, Tehsildar, district officers of PDD, Health, Education, Jal Shakti, AYUSH besides others were also present in the camp.Meanwhile, Block divas were also held at Samba and Vijaypur under Nodal Officer ACR samba and SDM Vijaypur respectively.
