District Administration, Ramban today organised weekly Block Diwas meetings at all designated locations to address the public issues, especially pertaining to basic amenities at their doorsteps besides assessing the developmental needs of the areas.The Block Diwas meetings were attended by the PRIs, Officers and Officials of line departments.
The public representatives, PRIs, and general masses highlighted their issues for which concerned officers assured quick action.At Batote, the BDC Chairperson, Rajeshwar Kumar, BDO Sandeep Kumar, PRIs, and other officers attended the programme and discussed the GPDP in detail.
Responding to the issues highlighted during Block Diwas, the BDC Chairperson passed on the spot directions to concerned departments to resolve the genuine demands on a priority basis.At Ukhral Block Diwas meeting was attended by BDC Chairperson, Karleep Singh, Tehsildar, BMO, PRIs and other officers. The BDC Chairperson asked the officers to resolve all public genuine issues pertaining to their department within the stipulated time frame.
At Ramban, PRIs and the general public put forth their issues and concerned departments assured quick action on all the issues in presence of Block Development Officer, Muneer Ahmed.Meanwhile, multifarious activities & awareness campaigns were held across the District as a part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
Pledge-taking ceremonies were also held on the occasion to sensitize the participants about the peril of drug abuse.The participants also pledged to cooperate in eradicating the means of drugs, besides creating awareness about its ill effects. The officers of the Animal Husbandry Department also sensitised the participants and the farmer community about preventative measures against lumpy skin disease among the dairy animals.
