The District Election Officer (DEO), Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of Election Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Election Registration Officers (AEROs) and representatives of different political parties of the district to review the Special Summary Revision- 2022. 

Addressing the meeting, the DEO urged upon the officers to work in tandem and focus on maximum registration of the new voters. He asked them to provide at least 2 training sessions to Booth Level Officers so that they can gain requisite knowledge of the electoral process.  

The DEO urged upon the representatives of political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at each Polling Booth so that 100 percent registration of new voters could be assured.The DEO also reviewed the progress of Systematic Voter Education & Electoral Programme (SVEEP) campaigns and directed the concerned to ensure campaigns in collaboration with the District Nodal Officer for SVEEP. 

He also directed to ensure Assured Minimum Facilities like availability of water supply, electricity, connectivity and ramps.He also took stock of operationalization of GARUDA app by BLOs, Aadhaar linkage with EPIC, 100 percent photo coverage of electoral roll, filing of claims and objections, draft publication of photo electoral roll at ERO and AERO Offices, besides BLO level. 

ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan; ADC Handwara, Dy. DEO, Mehraj-u-din Wani, ACR Kupwara, ACP, Tehsildars and other concerned attended the meeting.
