As part of month-long ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, various activities including student rallies, awareness programmes, debates and painting competitions were held in different educational institutions including HSSs of Aragam, Arin, Nowgam, Sumbal, Badugam Gurez, Badugam Tulail; HS Hakhara; GHS Kaloosa; MSs of Dachigam, Kulhama , Kaloosa, Aloosa; BMS Badwan Gurez;  New Land Mark Institute Hakbara Hajin and New Galaxy  School Chandergeer. 

On the occasion, awareness programmes were held in various schools and pledges were taken to uphold the promise for eradication of drug menace in the society and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.Debates regarding Drug Abuse and its ill effects were conducted, besides, student rallies were also held by the educational institutions in which staff and a large number of students participated.

Teachers and hundreds of students participated in the rallies and raised different slogans including “Zindagi Se Rishta Jodo, Drugs Se Nata Todo” and “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” besides other slogans. They also carried placards denouncing the addiction to disseminate awareness among the common masses about the adverse effects of drugs. 

Rallies went through streets and corners of the villages to spread information about the deadly effect of drugs on society and the importance of a healthy life.At Hr. Secondary Aragam, the programme was organised in collaboration with the department of Ayush. 

During the programme Doctors from Ayush unit of Bandipora deliberated upon various ill effects of drugs.Anti - drug rally was held in Block Ganastan. It was a mega rally to create awareness on the growing menace of drug addiction.

Students from GHS Ganastan, RDD Officials, DO Police post Nowgam and PRIs participated in the rally.
