Yo Yo Honey Singh who has been making headlines for his divorce with wife Shalini Talwar nearly after ten years of his marriage has now again grabbed the headlines for the same. Now, it has been reported that the couple have officially divorced and have moved on in their respective lives. But do you know what grabbed our attention? It has come to notice that Honey Singh paid a whopping amount of alimony to Shalini after District Court Saket accepted their divorce plea.
The rapper gave Shalini a sizable alimony payment of Rs. 1 crore. It's true what you just read! According to reports, they are both happy with the choice and are now moving on with their lives. The report also stated that during their court appearances, Honey delivered Shalini a check for Rs. 1 crore in an envelope. Shalini Talwar had requested a divorce for the unmarried couple on the grounds of infidelity and domestic abuse. Additionally, she sought reparation and ongoing alimony in crores.
For the unversed, the singer was involved in a legal dispute with his wife, Shalini Talwar, after she accused him and his family of domestic abuse. In addition to this, Shalini had also charged Honey Singh with adultery because she had requested a divorce. The couple was given some time by the court to reconsider their choice to separate, though.
Shalini had reflected on her marriage to Honey Singh in a statement to the court, saying she felt like a farm animal who was suffering abuse. In a statement, she had also mentioned that her father-in-law walked into her room and grazed her chest. Shalini had brought this complaint against Honey Singh in the Tis Hazari court in Delhi. According to sources, Shalini wanted Rs 10 crore in alimony from Honey Singh in exchange for their divorce. However, the two parties have finally come to a Rs 1 crore settlement.
