DC Samba Anuradha Gupta tours border block Ramgarh, inspects development works, listens to public issues at Chamliyal

Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today conducted a day long tour of Border Block Ramgarh and inspected the developmental works besides addressing public grievances at a Public Outreach Programme under Block Divas initiative at Baba Chamliyal.

The Deputy Commissioner, during the assessment of development works, inspected the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Balothra Chak and Ramloo in the Ramgarh Block, being constructed at a cost of Rs 350.04 lakh and Rs 474.60 lakh, respectively.

The DC Samba directed to ensure commissioning of the twin WSS schemes within the set timelines and the availability of functional piped water connections in each household of the areas.Reviewing the progress achieved on Ramgarh to Chamliyal Road, the DC took serious exception to the slow pace of work and directed the Executive Engineer PWD to immediately place a JE on the project who shall submit daily work done achievement and blacklist the contractor, if he fails to meet the daily targets. 

It is pertinent to mention that DC Samba had recently slapped section 133 on the contractor for failing to adhere to tendered conditions for the same work.The DC Samba, while inspecting the upcoming Sports Stadium at Nandpur, directed the sports department to immediately start ground leveling work, cutting of bushes along with maintenance of the stadium. 

She also exhorted concerned officers to start a multidisciplinary sports event at the venue under the campaign Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated construction work of Lane Drain in Ward no. 06 of Panchayat Malshah Ramgarh under the PRI Capex Area development Plan.

Later, Deputy Commissioner, Samba participated in the weekly Block Diwas organized at zero line of IB, Baba Chamliyal Shrine, wherein elected representatives alongwith locals raised their grievances and local development aspirations.

The DC assured that all the raised grievances shall be expeditiously redressed and exhorted upon the district officers to formulate developmental plans in close coordination with the elected representatives through Gram Sabhas.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC informed that Chamliyal has been notified as a tourist village under Tourist Village Development Plan which will bring holistic development in the area alongwith employment opportunities. 

The DC said special focus has been laid on the development of Border areas and to ensure 100% saturation of all the government sponsored schemes including social security schemes, piped water connections, power supply, road networks, e-libraries and other. 

"Recently government has Revamped BADP scheme to include multitude of sectors into its ambit which will provide a major thrust to local habitants in their standard of living" added DC Samba.She urged the elected representatives to take initiatives under the solid waste management programme in their locality so that district samba can become the first district in the region to have 100% solid waste management.

Among others present on the occasion were Block Development Council chairman, Darshan Singh; Sarpanch Kali Dass; SDM, Vinay Sharma; ACD, Sidharath Dhiman; CMO, Dr Vidhi Bhutiyal, CEO, Executive Engineer PWD, PHE, CAHO, Tehsildar and BDO Ramgarh besides other officers.
