On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad several anti-drugs awareness programmes, rallies and workshops were held today under ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan in all Panchayat Blocks of the Srinagar District to observe the weekly Block Diwas.
The programmes were held at all Panchayat Blocks of the District including Harwan, Khonmoh, Srinagar and Qamarwari blocks during which local people, students, Officers and officials of Panchayats participated actively and highlighted the evil effects of drugs and substance abuse.
The participants through rallies made people aware about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Pledge ceremonies were also held to uphold the promise for eradication of the drug menace in the society and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.The students were also apprised about the ill effects of drugs.
