To strengthen and provide adequate infrastructure to Panchayat Raj Institutions, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today laid foundation stone for the office building of the BDC Siot.
Among the others present during the event were BDC Siot, Bal krishan; BDO, Sunil Sharma; Sarpanches, panches and general public.Giving details of the office building, the BDO informed that the estimated cost of the building is Rs 87 lacs and the work on the building would be completed in six months.
While interacting with the PRIs, the DDC said that creation of PRI institutions with adequate infrastructure will further accentuate the efficiency of the Panchayati Raj system.He also said that the District Administration is committed to take all possible measures to strengthen the grassroots level democratic institutions and efforts are being made in this regard.
The DDC also highlighted the measures taken for effective implementation of developmental plans and policies at the grassroots level.
