District Election department, Ramban today conducted a day-long Training–cum-SVEEP programme  to sensitize the BLOs  about election related  activities for Special Summary  Revision (SSR) 2022,  here at Conference Hall, Maitra.The training programme was presided over by District Election Officer, Mussarat Islam.

Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand, ACR, Gias-Ul-Haq,  Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed, besides  Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were present on the occasion.In his address, the DEO   exhorted the BLOs to focus on the registration of new eligible voters in the  areas of  their respective Polling Stations. 

He informed that during the Special Summary Revision, special  camps would be organized on September 24 & 25 and  October 1,  2,  15 & 16 for enrollment of new eligible voters. The BLOs were asked to remain present  at their respective Polling Stations  with the availability of an adequate number of  registration forms during the special camps.Asking the BLOs to update themselves on ERONET, the DC advised them to diligently upload  Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) on GARUDA Apps.

The BLOs can play a vital role in preparation of healthy e-Rolls, he added.Explaining in detail the role and responsibilities of BLO, the master trainer briefed about election related activities to be conducted during Special Summary Revision. He also briefed about the introduction and use of new forms including form no. 6,  6b, 7 and 8 during the Special Summary Revision which is being started from September 15. An interactive session was also conducted at the end of training to clarify the doubts and queries of the participants.
