As a part of weekly Block Diwas programme, district Administration Samba today conducted a public outreach programme at Panchayat Ghar Rakh Ambtali to provide doorstep services to the people and address their grievances.

Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta conducted the Block Diwas meeting in presence of District Development Council member Subhash Bhagat and listened and addressed the public grievances put across by the Panchayat representatives and locals led by Sarpanch Vinod Kumar.

Public delegations and individuals from the adjoining Panchayats appraised the Deputy Commissioner regarding various issues demanded coverage of areas lacking tap water connections, improvement in power supply scenario, maintenance and construction of rural roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and other local issues.

The Deputy Commissioner, taking cognisance of the public demands, directed the line departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, achievements recorded under different government sponsored schemes besides addressing the projected grievances. 

She asked the government functionaries to document the grievances of their respective departments and furnish the action taken report to her office.The DC informed that each issue will be taken up and resolved within a stipulated time frame. 

The executing agencies were directed to immediately start work on the tendered works failing which strict action shall be taken.Sharing detailed information about path breaking initiatives of the government, the DC encouraged the participants to avail online services of different departments. 

She asked the concerned to make arrangement of CSC operators at tehsil offices to help the public to apply online for availing different services. She also asked the people to avail benefits of Ayushman Scheme and a highly beneficial insurance scheme like Jeevan Surksha Yojna etc.

The DC also educated the public about the prevention of Lumpy Skin Disease and distributed free medicines among the locals.The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Samba informed that special teams have been deployed across the district for providing treatment and vaccines to dairy animals. 

He also informed that department of animal Husbandry Samba is providing services round the clock and in case of assistance Public can contact at District Helpline numbers 01923-241004 and 01923-246915.

Similar block Diwas programmes were held at several other places which were addressed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ravinder Kumar, and other officers.
