A quiz competition was organized by 1st J&K Girls Battalion NCC Srinagar, Govt. College for Women, Udhampur here under the patronage of the College Principal Dr. Monika Sharma.The event was hosted in continuation of the series of activities under Har Ghar Tiranga programme and Independence week celebration under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The theme of the quiz competition was Har Ghar Jhanda. In all, 15 cadets participated in the competition with great zeal   and enthusiasm. The cadets were divided into three teams namely Saffron, White and Green, having five members in each team. The quiz was conducted in six different rounds. On the basis of their overall performance, team Saffron won the 1st prize and team White and team Green won the second and third prizes, respectively.

The Principal Dr. Monika Sharma appreciated and encouraged the cadets for participating in the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence more enthusiastically.The position holders of the quiz competition were awarded with different prizes. The event was coordinated by ANO Prof Shallu Jasrotia. Dr. Seema Sharma HOD Music and Prof Yash Kumar Assistant Professor from the department of music also graced the occasion.
