Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma (who is the Chairman of Road Safety Committee) today chaired the District Road Safety Committee meeting here in his office Chamber.During the meeting, different issues regarding Road safety were discussed with all the stakeholders and NGOs.Numerous directions were issued to the concerned to make the journey on the district roads safe. 

The executing agencies  were asked to install Crash Barriers at risky spots of different routes, identify Black spots and display QRT/ emergency Health care contacts on all roads of the district including NH-244.The strict enforcement of Motor Vehicles Act and creation of Road Safety Clubs in the schools and colleges was also stressed upon.

Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal; Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajinder Singh; OC 118 RCC M Y Gautam; JD-Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; ARTO, Romesh Samotra; XEN PMGSY Marwah, Mohammad Aslam Lone; EO  Kishtwar Municipality, Tariq Balwan,  besides representatives of NHIDCL,PWD Kishtwar, CMO office  Kishtwar and NGOs attended the meeting.
