Former External Affairs Minister and Member Parliament from Patiala Preneet Kaur today unfurled the National Flag at Patiala's Mahatma Gandhi Statue on the occasion of India's 76th Independence Day.Before unfurling the National Flag the Patiala MP paid her homage to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi Ji at his statue and remembered his immense contribution to our country's freedom struggle.Talking to the media after the flag hoisting ceremony the Patiala MP said, "I want to share my greetings to all my fellow Indians on our 76th Independence day. As we celebrate the completion of 75 years of our country's Independence, I also pay my humble tributes to all the brave hearts of our country for their fearless acts of patriotism, who sacrificed their life in the freedom struggle."
