With the aim to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, District Administration Shopian organised various  activities to brace up for the 76th Independence Day.In run-up to the celebrations of the Independence Day of the nation on 15th of August 2022, and as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohaotsav”, District Administration Shopian took up various activities to  engage students, employees and youth volunteers in Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.

Various departments in collaboration also organised a series of activities like rallies, debates, quiz competitions, painting competitions and cultural programmes across district to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Education Zones  organised mega Tiranga Rallies to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign which witnessed enthusiastic participation of students.Similarly MC Shopian organised Rallies, Flag Hoisting ceremonies, and beautified town with tricolor.

Under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign a massive Tiranga Rally was held today also at shopian, Zainpora and other areas of district which witnessed participation of thousands of students while chanting slogans of Har Ghar Tiranga. 

The Grand Tiranga Rally was also held at Mini Secretariat today. Deputy Commissioner along with SSP participated in the Grand Tiranga Rally. The Deputy commissioner  Shopian said this ambitious campaign aims at encouraging  people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence.

He said, the Tri-colour is a symbol of pride for every citizen and it represents national integrity and signifies the hopes and aspirations of the Indian people.The Deputy Commissioner  lauded  the efforts of students, teachers and all other concerned people who participated in Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and also  appreciated the enthusiasm and zest of students and youth volunteers who participated in the campaign across the district.

He said District Administration Shopian has  organized multifarious activities to amplify the awareness of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav besides awareness campaigns are being conducted across the district to make the Independence Day and Har Ghar Tiranga programme a success.Painting competitions were held in Anganwari Centres across the district under Har Ghar Tiranga Programme.
