With the aim to promote ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohaotsav”, the District Administration Bandipora organised multifarious activities to gear up for 75th Independence Day.Various departments in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora organised a series of activities like rallies, debates, quiz competitions, painting competitions and cultural programmes across the district.

Earlier this week, Education Zone Hajin organised a mega Tiranga Rally to promote the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign which witnessed enthusiastic participation of students.Similarly, MC Hajin organised a workshop on Single Use Plastic (SUP).Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, a massive Tiranga Rally was held at N.M Hr Secondary School which witnessed participation of around 5000 students amid chanting slogans of Har Ghar Tiranga.

A  Grand Tiranga Rally was also held at S.K Stadium Bandipora in which more than 12000 students participated. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed  and SSP Bandipora along with Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Bandipora and DySP Hq also participated besides students, general public and youth volunteers took active part in the rally.

The DC said that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. He said, the Tri-colour is a symbol of pride for every Indian and it represents national integrity and signifies the hopes and aspirations of the Indian people. 

He lauded the efforts of students, teachers and all other concerned who participated in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and also appreciated the enthusiasm and zest of students and youth volunteers to participate in the tiranga rallies across the district.

He said District Administration Bandipora is organizing multifarious activities to amplify the awareness of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav besides awareness campaigns are being conducted across the district to make the Independence Day and Har Ghar Tiranga programme a success.

Government Degree College Bandipora, Government Degree College Sumbal and Ajaz also organised various activities besides, Higher Secondary Arin and BMS Faqirpora Gurez also organised cultural programmes under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Similarly, Painting competitions were held in Anganwadi Centres across the district under Har Ghar Tiranga programme.
