Intensifying the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the District Administration Ramban on Friday organised a pledge ceremony to encourage the   students, youth, and general masses to join the fight against the drugs.Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam administered the pledge to the participants in the premises of the District Administrative Complex, Maitra Ramban.   

 ACR, Ramban, Gias -Ul –Haq, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, ACD, Ashok Katoch, CEO, Dev Anand, CMO, Dr. Kamal Zadoo, Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed, Nodal Officer, AYUSH, Dr. Sanjay Chadha and various senior officers also participated.The DC said that the administration was working towards a drug-free society and sought the cooperation of every individual to meet this goal.  

In his message, the DC advised the students to concentrate only on their overall development and strive to reach a high position in their lives.The DC also asked the public to inform the police about the perpetrators of drug abuse to eradicate this evil from the society.

Meanwhile, thousands of students took the pledge against drug abuse in their respective Schools, Colleges, and other institutions.The Heads of institutions asked the students to obey their parents, elders, teachers and stay away from the drugs.Similar programmes were held at Subdivision, Tehsil, block level offices and institutions.
