NSS Unit of GDC Ramban organises “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign rally

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, NSS unit of Government Degree College, Ramban today organised a “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign rally comprising students and staff of the college.The rally was organised under the guidance and patronage of the Principal of the college Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma.

The Rally was taken out to sensitise the students about the significance of Tiranga and spread the message of the Har Ghar Tiranga  campaign across villages and communities. The NSS volunteers have conducted a number of activities since the beginning of August 2022 in the run-up to Independence Day celebrations.

Meanwhile, an on the campus plantation drive and intra-college poster-making competition were also held in furtherance to the Ghar Ghar Tiranga Campaign witnessing participation of more than thirty (30) students.Anu Devi of 2nd semester secured first position, Amesha Devi of 6th Semester and Tariq Ahmed shared 2nd position, while Anil Kumar of 3rd Semester got 3rd position.

Twin events of Tiranga Show and Har Ghar Tiranga Awareness Rally were organized with the participation of as many as fifty (50) students and staff of the college. The students beautifully raised Tiranga flags flying high during the march in the rally.

 Addressing the students, Prof Subhash Chander Sharma said that bringing Tiranga to every home is not just an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.He also said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign will invoke patriotic feelings in our hearts and strengthen national integration on a bigger scale.

Later, he instructed the students to disseminate this information in their villages and communities.NSS program Officer, Prof Vickey Rattan asked the students to pin the Tiranga to their social media accounts as DP. All the staff of the college participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm and exuberance.
